    Biography

Misha Carlson is a Tufts University graduate with a B.Sc. in Clinical Psychology and a minor in Political Science. She is now pursuing her PsyD at the Stanford-Palo Alto University Consortium with a focus on psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Previous research interests have included culturally responsive trauma treatments, holistic approaches to psychosis care, and mechanisms of institutional change. Her clinical work has spanned crisis counseling, mentoring queer students, and facilitating psychedelic journeys using psilocybin and San Pedro. She hopes to bridge traditional and scientific approaches to psychedelic work while exploring the mechanisms of altered states in emotional and physical healing. Outside of the lab, Misha enjoys cooking, making music, cuddling her dog, and getting outside.
