Recruitment Study on a Novel Treatment for PTSD
Stanford School of Medicine researchers are seeking participants for a study aimed at testing a novel anesthesia-based treatment approach for PTSD.

You may qualify if you are/have:
- 18 – 70 years old
- Diagnosed with, or have symptoms of, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- No major health issues (neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine disorders; liver, kidney, or GI disease; sleep apnea)
- Body mass index between 17-35kg/m2
- Willing to undergo a session of anesthesia under the supervision of a highly trained anesthesia team
The study involves:
- Screening by zoom and in person
- Baseline questionnaire (online)
- Daily sleep and dream diaries (daily for 4 weeks)
- Daily mood diaries (daily for 4 weeks)
- Daily sleep measurement (using headband)
- One anesthesia session (approx. 6-8 h)
- Follow-up interviews and questionnaires (phone/zoom and online, up to 3 months)
- Reimbursement 500 USD
