Biography
Anna Payton is a UC Berkeley graduate with a double B.A. in Psychology and Cognitive Science. As a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Heifets Lab, Anna coordinates the Psilocybin for Chronic Low Back Pain trial and assists with the Anesthesia-Induced Dreaming for PTSD trial, among other projects.
Anna also leads an observational sub-study examining the relationship between subjective music experience and therapeutic outcomes in the context of an ongoing MDMA-Assisted Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder trial in the Stanford Department of Psychiatry.
As an aspiring clinical psychologist, Anna hopes to bridge holistic and scientific approaches to psychedelic work by translating research into thoughtful, patient-centered clinical care. Outside of the lab, Anna enjoys listening to music, painting, yoga, and being outdoors.
