Biography
Alexander Palmer (AJ) completed his undergraduate degree at Roanoke College majoring in biochemistry and psychology. He worked at FBRI in the lab of Alexei Morozov studying the neural circuitry necessary for synchronized social behavior in mice. AJ joined the lab in 2023 with an interest in probing how psychoactive drugs may create positive lasting change in those with mental illness. In the future, he aspires to research how pharmacologically induced changes in subjective states synergize with talk therapy to facilitate psychotherapeutic healing.
Outside the lab AJ enjoys spending time in nature, reading, cooking, playing bass, mountain biking and rock climbing.
