Wesley Zhao received his BSE from The University of Pennsylvania and is currently a REACH Post-Baccalaureate in the Heifets lab. Wesley’s goal is to make psychiatric treatments much more effective and accessible and is particularly interested in better treatments for depression and PTSD. Therefore his current research interests lie in precision psychiatry and rapid-acting medications including psychedelics. At the Heifets Lab he hopes to better understand the mechanisms and effects of psychedelic compounds, especially MDMA, psilocybin, and ketamine.
